  • Shippers are trying to wrap up 2017 harvest. We have the full line of varieties available.
  • We mainly only have Pink Lady & Granny left to harvest before the consistent winter weather sets in.    
  • Braeburn, Rome, Cameo, Jonagolds, Galas, Goldens, Honeycrisp, Granny Smith, Fuji, & new crop Red Delicious.
  • Pricing is still strong on most varieties on larger sizes, but the best pricing & value continues to be in 100's & smaller.
  • We are seeing a rising price trend in Gala, as they are almost all c.a. storage now.

  • NW pears are in good supply, with some smaller ones being a little tougher to find. Condition is good on all varieties.

  • Onions are in good demand.  Super colossal and colossal size yellows remain tight and will remain so for the season.
  • There is a good marriage between supply and demand which is maintaining a nice market for the grower and still hit a fair price point for retail. 
  • Yellow sweets available. ORGANIC are now available-all colors. Transportation is a big issue now.  Freight rates are very high and trucks are tight.

  • Demand is strong across the board.  Bales are in a demand exceeds supply scenario in the NW.  Prices remain steady with underlying strength. 
  • One consistency is that Bale prices have increased noticeably.  Look for double digits for the entire season.
  • Plenty of strength in the Idaho deal.  Bales are in HIGH demand and trucks are scarce. 
  • There is an abundance of cartons on the floor as a result of running for bales to meet demand. 
  • Burbanks are available with prices slightly higher than Norkotahs.  Organic Russets are available.

  • Mt. Vernon District Red, Yellow, White and Purple colored potato supplies remain steady.  A very strong and steady market continues on all colors.
  • Most growers are reporting sizes peaking on the large side. Quality and color is excellent.
  • Prices remain strong and steady with a few overall price adjustments so far this season. Yellow and Red Fingerlings are available.
  • Eastern WA colored potatoes-Reds and Yellows only-are still available. Prices are steady and supply, color and quality are all good.

  • Good supplies are coming up from Central Mexico, better then expected numbers also being reported. Oxnard and Santa Maria very light supplies.

  • Blackberries - Very light supplies from Watsonville, Central Mexico increasing weekly.

    • With the holiday pull behind us, and the desert winter deal up and rolling, there seems to be enough around to hold prices down.

    • Both bunched and crowns harvests are ramping up in the desert.

    • The Salinas Valley is all but finished, there may be some deals to be made as a few shippers are closing up shop for the winter.

    • We’re still seeing some of the typical quality issues around…pin rot and purple cast, as well as cat eye and brown bead.

    • Have our birddog in Yuma take a look at your Yuma order.

  • Growers are picking and packing NAVELS. 
  • The fruit is still gassing up to 72 hours to bring on color but even with that is packing out very clean (90% fancy / 10% choice).  
  • Market continues to settle down as supplies increase especially on small sizes.  Sizing is peaking 88/113 with light supplies of 72's and larger. 
  • Color is nice and the fruit is eating well. Shippers will be open packing limited hours next week trying to clean floors for the holiday. 
  • Cool temps are upon us and that will aid on the natural color.

  • District 3 desert Lemons continue to peak 140/115 but with very light supplies as this district winds down fast.  
  • District 1, central Calif. is trying to spot pick but the fruit is still green and very slow to color up.

  • Volume will be good through end of the year... sizing this year is peaking 40's with light supplies of 56's to be had.  Market is staying up.

  • Fruit can be packed up for you in 25# bulk/bags and 4x5#.  Call soon because this item will clean up by mid December.
  • Pummelos are sizing up 10/12's with strong demand on larger 6/8's. 
  • Supplies are cleaning up almost as fast as they are packing; market is steady.  We will have product through Dec.

  • Good supplies on smaller sizes 60/70/84.  48/40 are improving but not at the rate of speed buyers would like to see. 
  • Growers are picking for size at this time to slow the volume on smaller fruit.  
  • Due to the Holiday week; harvests and crossings are expected to be down so floors can clean up. 
  • Holiday demand has not been real brisk but should pickup the beginning of the month.  
  • Supplies will improve on 32/36 as the season evolves; but this is a slow process and the market will remain strong on those.
  • Mexican crop has excellent volume this year.  Expect steady prices and adequate volume for promotion; making this a great item to push.
  • California Hass early crop volume estimate is looking good.  Look for this to start harvesting late in Dec/early Jan.
