  • Almost all C.A. storage apples are shipped out & in the market. There's still a few remaining C.A. Reds.
  • A few shippers are working through to complete the 2018-2019 crop. All new crop varieties are now available.
  • Pricing has been all over the board with many shippers & there are various deals on slightly aged product, as some shippers build inventories.
  • Pricing should eventually settle out over the next couple weeks, as demand increases.
  • There's some concern on frozen apples that did not get harvested.
  • Some estimates project approximately 6 million boxes worth of apples that were damaged on the trees from early freezing temperatures.
  • Overall quality is good.

  • Prices are steady to firm on all onions.  

  • Export demand has increased.  This is firming prices domestically.  

  • A few houses are metering production as to extend sales into the spring to take advantage of higher FOB's.  

  • Reasoning being that market prices will be much higher beginning early spring due to short supplies. 

  • WA and Idaho Yellow Sweets are available.  Organic red, yellows, Whites and sweets are available as well.

  • Quality and condition is good.

  • Sizing has been on the smaller side this season, with larger sizes demanding higher pricing.

  • The Thanksgiving demand should diminish this week.  However, high demand and shortness of supply will continue for the 2019/2020 season.  
  • Best practice will be to stay well ahead of ordering supplies to make sure of coverage.
  • The prices are  understandably increasing weekly and will remain tight throughout the 2019/2020 season as supplies will be short this year.  
  • Quality and condition is outstanding, so far in OR/WA.
  • While Idaho is having some delivery issues while Idaho growers work through potatoes that saw heavy frost during harvest. 
  • Russet ORGANICs are available!!

  • Most shippers are expecting lighter supplies (and higher pricing) as we work through the holiday pull.

    • The ICEBERG lettuce transition continues.  Two major processors are moving their plants this weekend to the desert. 
    • The Salinas valley is finished with Iceberg lettuce, and Huron has 1 week left. 
    • Yuma has started with a handful this week, and most lettuce shippers harvesting in the desert next week. 
    • The beginning of the desert season have seen nice quality lettuce, but light in weight and soft in solidity.
    • The market is high, but we foresee an ease in the market in 2 weeks.

    • It will take a couple of weeks to settle into the winter deal.

    • Expect better quality from the CA/AZ deserts.

    • Mexico Avocado numbers are crossing consistently.  Fruit is peaking smaller sizes 70/60/84 and as such this market is looking to move some product. 

    • 48's are getting a little better but slower to come down price wise.   Fruit is fairly clean so #2 fruit is moving out fast.  

    • Market has came off on small sizes but in general is steady.

    • Supplies & quality are good with a fairly steady market on Red Seedless.... however the same can't be said for Greens. 

    • The Green Seedless market is firm and still advancing; we are seeing more quality issues in Greens as well so have your product checked.

    • Calif Lemons out of district 3 (Desert).  Fruit in general is peaking 140/165's and smaller out of this area.
    • 115 with larger are light but starting to show some improvement.   
    • Market for 115 looks like it may start adjusting off slightly over the next month.
    • Weather (need some rains to increase size) will have a big impact on this.

    • Cantaloupe are improving slightly with Offshore arriving on the East coast and taking some pressure off.  

    • Desert and MX product have a few weeks left to go and as the Offshore ramps up we should start to see some prices come back down.   

    • Cool and weather in MX are showing effects in the quality of product from this area. 

    • Market has been stronger especially on smaller size due to lack of fruit. 

    • We expect the supplies start to improve as off shore increases.  Fruit is peaking jumbo9/9/12.  

    • Color is tan to concrete with some occasional ground spotting and just fair quality.   

    • Honeydew supplies are mostly of Nogales/Mexico and also heavier to large sizes.   Overall quality is fair. 

    • Market here is a little better than on Cants as more areas in MX start harvesting and bringing across. 

    • Offshore supplies will be very light until end of the month.

    • Navels are going and we are starting to see a few more on the 72's and larger spectrum. 

    • Fruit is picking daily and gassing time is around 72 hours to bring out orange color on the fruit. 

    • Cool nights are the ticket to lessening the gas time and (fingers crossed).

    • We may see what we consider a cold front come through mid to late week (mid 30's at night low 60s during the day).  

    • Flavor is just so at this time with sugar to acid ratios still low.  Most of the fruit is on the small peaking 113/138/88 with a few lots showing 72/56. 

    • The packs are clean and fruit is heavy to fancy.   Small sizes 113/138 are where shippers are looking to move.

    • Expecting to see Cara Cara start the last week of the month.... waiting on color and sugar. 

    • Blood Oranges not expected until early December and we will keep you posted.

    • Calif Ruby Grapefruit peaking 32 & larger with nice color.   Supplies expected winding down. 
    • TX is going and they are showing some great color.... consolidation to the west coast is a little tricky but call and we will see what we can do for you.
    • California Mandarins (Satsumas) are picking both bald and Stem/leaf packs.  Avail in 25# cs/ bags and splits. 
    • This fruit is showing a nice orange in color; easy peel and eating nicely.  
    • Expect to have supplies into mid December and shippers are looking to move. 
    • Calif Clementine have started with color improving weekly and volume being light still. 
    • Various packs available let us know you interest and we will get you covered.
    • Fairchild Tangerines are starting to show up packing out of the desert,, with notice and pallet volume can get you consolidated.
    • Seeing some Pummelo and Oro Blanco are going as well for those looking for a white flesh grapefruit these are the varieties to play with. 
    • Very thick skins but boy can they eat.

      • CALIF harvest is finished on Pomegranates and peaking on 30/32 and we have good supplies in storage for later shipping.
      • We have supplies and various packs of Arils (Pomegranate seeds). We can offer a variety of pack sizes packed to order.  
      • Asian Pears are available in single layer packs harvesting in Calif.
